Visas- emphasis on non-immigrant O and P visas for touring artists and intellectuals, particularly Cuban musicians including Chucho Valdes, Irakere, Cubanismo, Orquesta Aragon, Maraca y Otra Vision, Pablo Milanes, Isaac Delgado, the Buena Vista Social Club, Orishas, Los Muñequitos de Matanzas, Pablo Milanes, NG La Banda, Jane Bunnett and the Spirit of Havana, Crisol, La Colmenita children’s theater group, Afro Cuba de Matanzas, Los Van Van, Chuchito Valdes and Bamboleo.
Other artists assisted: Refugee All-Stars (Sierra Leone), National Ballet of Mexico, National Theater of Thailand, Tibetan Music Festival, Daniel Viglietti (Uruguay), Mercedes Sosa (Argentina), Joan Manuel Serrat (Spain), Marcel Marceau, Juanes, Christian Castro, Los Jaguares (Mexico), Ile Aiye (Brazil) and Toto la Momposina (Colombia).
Cultural Exchanges- consultant to exchanges such as the conference on U.S.-Cuban relations (University of California, Berkeley) and Music Bridges. Consultant to recording projects of Grammy-nominated, Ritmo y Candela I and II, Grupo AfroCuba’s Raices Africanas and CubaJazz (featuring Paquito D’Rivera, Chucho Valdes and Bebo Valdes).
OFAC licenses- application and advocacy for licence to travel to Cuba applications filed with the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the Department of the Treasury. Notable projects licensed include Music Bridges and Audioslave:Live in Havana rock concerts.
